What Our Previous Clients Say...

"Elevation Avenue performed at the Cavendish Beer Festival and we could not have asked for any more. The band were perfect, performing a variety of hit songs guaranteed to fill the dance floor. They arrived on time and set up their set without causing any disruption to the rest of the event. Not only does the band provide an excellent set, they are all extremely friendly and a pleasure to work with. I would 100% recommend Elevation Avenue and look forward to working with them the next time I require a band for an event."

Myles Wood BSc - Event Manager - Cavendish Beer Festival

"What a band! I organised my 30th birthday / charity party at the end of last year and as I'm sure many of you are aware, finding a band is a tricky business. Well in my eyes, look now further, the band plays a great mix of bluesy tunes, Motown hits and disco classics to really get your evening moving. They even let me play a couple of song with them! My work has booked them to do their work summer party this year too, repeat business can't be bad! Cheers Guys!"

***** I think 5 stars for each category says it all. These guys are brilliant musicians and have a fantastic vocalist. They couldn't do enough for us and from minute one kept in touch, must have been the easiest night for our DJ cos everyone including him wanted them to keep going. They were true to their word and made our special day even more so. Get in quick cos these guys will be snapped up and we all know about supply and demand!

"We first had Elevation Avenue perform at a large social at Bierkeller/Around the World/Shooters in Leeds in March. This was attended by 650 people, and the atmosphere created by Elevation Avenue set the scene for the night. Friendly band members, great vibes and great songs!

We wanted them so much we contacted them again for our next event. And they didnt disappoint! Although to a much smaller crowd, they played our final social of the year at Left Bank Leeds. A venue I believe they would be really suited to play again with a bigger crowd.

Thank you for playing for us, would highly recommend Elevation Avenue to anyone looking for a band. Thank you!"

Things to Check When Booking A Band...

  1. Does the venue allow live music?
  2. Room Size & Audience Size - We need to know the approximate size of both room and the audience. E.g. medium sized hall for 200 people.
  3. Stage size – We need a reasonable stage size for the band and equipment. We are a 5 piece band with backline amps, front of house PA and lighting. Approximate minimum size 5m wide by 2.5m deep.
  4. Unloading Area, Car Parking and Stage Access – Is car parking / unloading areas provided at the venue, and is there easy access from the unloading area to the stage? If the access involves several flights of stairs, we need to allow additional set up time for unloading the equipment. We have a lot of heavy equipment!
  5. Power Supply – We need at least one earthed 13A power supply on a circuit with adequate capacity for our exclusive use all night. Please note for outdoor events, an unearthed 2 core extension lead reels (normally used with lawnmowers) are not adequate. (These are not earthed.)
  6. Public Liability Insurance – What level of PLI is required by the venue? Does the venue need documentation from us? We have PLI and a certificate of insurance is available on request.
  7. PAT Testing – Does the venue require PAT Test certificates? Our equipment is PAT tested and certificates are available on request.
  8. Set Up Time – We need approximately 2 hours to set up our equipment. This will include a quick full volume sound check. We will discuss this with you to work our set up time around your event.
  9. Changing & Storage Areas – Does the venue have a changing and storage area for our use? We would appreciate somewhere to prepare if we have travelled a long distance.
  10. Band Ryder – If available, we would appreciate some food and drink if we have travelled a long distance.
  11. Performance Times – We can provide a full evening of entertainment for your event. Typically we would recommend 2 x 1 hour sets with an interval. However, this is flexible and we will work to your event schedule.
  12. Sound Limiter – Does the venue operate a sound limiter? This is a device that cuts power to the stage if the noise exceeds a certain dB level. This needs to be checked with the venue and we need to know the details of how their limiter operates. These are problematic for live amplified bands.
  13. Curfew Times – Does the venue operate a curfew cut off time? This is often in the venue’s licence, and is enforced to prevent nuisance to neighbours. This will set our end time.
  14. DJs PA - If we are providing the DJ, she will play her music through our PA. If you have booked a DJ independently of us, it is worth checking if he is providing his own PA. If the DJ does not provide his own PA we may be able to help. (We need to use our own PA for technical reasons (and hence are unable to go through a typical DJ’s PA)).
  15. Outdoor Events – For outdoor events, we will need shelter for the stage and the equipment. Electricity and water don’t mix!
